The device works great, but the company has extremely deceptive practices that continues charging you WAY outside of your use of the product... receiving a $99 “DATA STORAGE FEE” at the end of the year. There is NO way to stop this fee.
I called Clover merchant services to cancel my current obsolete agreement, and was told I had a 4 year lease... They also told me I would owe for early cancellation. Over the past 3 years, I could have paid for 5 machines.
This is the second review I’ve written because Clover continues to charge me monthly fees months after I’ve cancelled them and I cannot get them to stop. They keep telling me they will refund the additional fees... but they just keep on charging them month after month.
After 3 years with Clover we are suddenly unable to process gift cards. Our rep is MIA, and there is no backup. Help desk doesn’t know what the problem is, elevated to “tier three” over a week ago... this is adversely affecting our business.
She canceled Clover in 2023 and the representative on the phone said that she will NEVER pay a fee to Clover again, but now in 2025 she had to call them and cancel again because they said it was never canceled. So she had to pay for over one year for something she already canceled!
It will charge you unreasonable fees, raise them with short notice, or, best of all, charge you an “end of product” fee of $100. Absolutely terrible customer support, employees unwilling to give you their legal address for follow up.
